The Distress of Sleepless Hours

We seek for an/a/some escape, a place/safety/shelter where the pain/suffering/anguish can fade/disappear/evaporate, but often/always/sometimes the darkness persists/holds tight/remains. It's in these moments of desperation that we must find/create/forge our own/internal/personal light/strength/will. We must face/confront/stand against the emptiness/void/terror, and discover/remember/unearth the powerful spirit that lies within/deep inside/at our core.

Craving for Sweet Oblivion

The throes of oblivion was a siren's call, a gentle promise of escape. To succumb in its depths was to silence the incessant noise of existence. The life's sharp edges blurred under the influence of its calm.

To truly desire oblivion was to ache for a temporary respite from the cruelty of being.
